Thanks to Chendo Perez and Pavlova M. Greber from fotomission.org, the third anual photomarathon was a complete success. More than 40 photographers took the streets from 11:00am to 5:00pm on a beautiful Sunday. This is the second time in a row that I took the challenge. Even though there was the experience factor, the topics where a little bit harder. The topics where Beginning, Red, Intense, Fast, Comical and The End. This is my contribution and the result of that beautiful, sunny and hot day of March 22, 2015. Enjoy...

Beginning
A backlit young seedling with new reddish leaves rising from a leaf-covered forest floor. An adult gray pigeon and a downy chick nesting inside a square hole in a weathered masonry wall.
Red
Black-and-white photo of a Spanish "PARE" stop sign with stickers above a board asking about IVA tax truth.Cars, a bus, and an open-air trolley stopped at a sunny intersection with green trees and a pink building.
Intense
Elderly gray-haired man with deep wrinkles exhaling cigarette smoke, holding a cigarette with dirty fingers.Low-angle shot of a yellow colonial building and a street lamp against a blue sky with bright sun and lens flare.
Fast
A smiling woman in a red and black polka-dot flamenco shawl holds a blurred red fan near her face.Several hands reach toward a pile of small paper slips on a sunlit stone table, with motion blur.
Comical
Two boys sit on wet pavement among spraying water jets at a fountain on a sunny day.A Spanish "NO ARROJAR BASURA" sign with handwritten note wired to a rusty metal gate.
The End
Carved crucifix of Christ seen from below against a stone wall under a Gothic vaulted ceiling.Statue of a veiled female saint holding a rosary beside an arched stained glass window in a worn church interior.

I'm looking forward to the next one....
