Bees after María
After the passage of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico on September 20, 2017, nature was destroyed. One or two days later, the bees could be seen like crazy in the trash looking for food. Someone told me to put water and sugar to feed them since the flowers had died. I mixed water and sugar in a small plate and in less than 10 minutes there were more than 100 bees on the balcony of my house. Interestingly, as soon as dusk began and the day got darker, they disappeared. I hope they have been satisfied and with forces to pollinate.
Here a small gallery of some bees and flies.
